The Milky way and the beach

An image captured in the summer after the moon has just passed under the horizon. The image is captured using several exposures in order to get as much light as possible from the stars. Above the horizon you can see the core of the Milky way. To capture this image I waited for several hours in order to wait for the Milky way to be positioned over the water on the beach right above the jagged black rocks in the foreground.
